Really nice place for cold beer and casual but good food. I had lunch here with my husband and we enjoyed the daily special pulled pork tacos. The bartender was really nice and we met some friendly locals sitting at the bar.

This place is beyond AWESOME ! My twin brother and I (for our birthday) and 14 of our friends had dinner here on 9/22/12 and not only was the service great, but the food was delicious ! The servers were funny and attentive. We had a great experience !! Thank you Blue Ridge Brewery.

Quaint little place off the main drag in Blue Ridge. It actually looks like an insurance office or something at first glance, so it took us a few moments to spot it. We had a reservation, so we had no trouble getting seated. We ordered hummus and olive tapenade, which was really good. The pita points were grilled, but a little salty (which was OK with me). The wife got the filet for dinner and I got the pork chop. Neither was the best we ever had, but they were pretty good. The wine selection appears pretty normal. Beer selection, oddly, seemed pretty small, but is a little classier than the typical selections. Overall, nice place for a quick, fairly pricey, bite to eat.

One of the best dining options in Blue Ridge. Nice ambience. Excellent food. Short but good wind list. Great wait staff. Paintings add a nice touch.

Let me start by saying I really had to deliberate over this review update. And I also echo the multitudes when I say this is when I really wish Yelp had 1/2 stars because 3.5 is where this place should be (although I suppose between my first review and the update that's close to where it will be overall). We finally came back to BRB for dinner and had a much different experience than our first lunch here. Some things were within the restaurant's control, some not, but I'm trying to be fair here overall. First of all, let me reiterate - this is a tiny tiny room. And when you have a tiny tiny room, it gets noisy quickly. Especially when you have a table of eight yahoos with their yahoo children all acting like drunk assholes. (Ok, maybe the kids weren't drunk, who knows with these clowns). Listen, out of town jerks - just because you couldn't find a Chili's nearby to drink cheap beer does not mean you can act like you were raised in a barn at the local places. Your children are obviously learning from your bad example. Also, just because you're taking up 1/2 the tables in the room does not mean anybody wants to hear you. So please, shut up. Now I understand the restaurant is not responsible for said yahoos' behavior. But it wouldn't hurt them to install some sort of noise dampening, because if said yahoos didn't leave when they did, we would have. When the idiots left, there was a collective, palpable sigh of relief around the room. Now, the obnoxious table may potentially explain our surly snotty waiter's attitude. He was marginally less snotty once they left. But still definitely exhibiting some attitude. I can't say the service here is top notch (I overheard one waitress explaining to another table that risotto isn't rice, but actually a pasta dish - I had the risotto cakes and trust me, honey, it's rice). Which is too bad, you'd expect a smaller local place like this to exhibit a little warmth. On to the food, which is, really, all we care about. (Although I will say for a place with "Brewery" in the name, they are sorely lacking in the beer list department. But since Fannin is new at this I'll give it a pass). We started with salads, husband's wedge was good, my spinach salad was good too, although be aware the portions are huge (salad was entrée portion and if it came with chicken would have been a complete meal in and of itself). Husband's fillet entrée was also good. I chose the scallops (after lamenting the duck advertised on the menu online was no longer there - don't trust the online menu) which arrived severely overcooked, to the point they were tough and inedible. I will say this for surely waiter - he did make things right by offering to get me another order of scallops after I hemmed and hawed when asked how things were because I have only sent a plate back once in my life. So, to his credit, that was good service. And the new plate of scallops was perfectly cooked and nicely sweet and tender. So bravo there. (Apparently, so says my husband, scallops are a headache triggering food. I didn't have a problem so I think he made that up). Dessert was meh. Both in selection and quality. I'd skip it. I feel badly for dinging this place a star - but we had such a wildly different experience at dinner from our previous lunch I had to rate it to reflect that. Crowd was not the restaurant's fault but they need to figure out how to control noise. Waiter was snotty but rectified the kitchen's mistake. Food came out poorly cooked but landed it the second go round. A mixed bag. Not enough to turn us off the place, with so few dining choices in the area we'll probably try it again; the food, when done well, is good enough so we'll make the drive at least one more time.

Delicious food, wonderful service, and amazing beer. I have become a regular now. You can't go wrong with anything on both the regular menu and the bar menu. To the gentleman that complained about not being able to eat bar food until 3:30, why would you want to eat bar food when you can eat from the lunch menu at the bar until 3:30? This is not a place to bring children. Don't try to do so. It IS a BREWERY! Why would WANT to bring small children to a brewery. Don't complain if your experience is less than pleasurable because you bring your kids into this restaurant. I have eaten here a lot over the past year and a half and I've yet to have a less than satisfactory meal. I recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and family visiting Blue Ridge and all of them have enjoyed it as much as I have. The atmosphere is very much like that of "Cheers" and the food and beet selection is the best that Blue Ridge has to offer.

Visiting Blue Ridge from Atlanta for lunch, had a really good experience. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgable about the beers Ordered a flight of beer samples to start with. I recommend the Oyster Stout and the St. Bernie's Lager (10.5%). Didn't test them too hard on the menu, only ordered apps. Their beer selection changes rapidly so they didn't have printed lists, it's all seasonal stuff. The attractive young ladies were able to recite and describe everything for us. Very nice experience.

Six girls- two bottles of wine, 6 appetizers, and each of us ordered steak.... Just as we finished our steak (1 hour in) the owner cam and asked us to leave because "the next group who needed our table had arrived." It was by far the rudest thing to ever happen at a restaurant and none of us will ever eat there again!

I love this place. The house burger was amazing! I could actually order it the way I like - medium rare and it came out exactly that way. Perfect. The beer that they brew wasn't to my liking, and I love beer. Luckily they have full bar and a good selection of craft beer. Warning! The outside of the place is pretty nondescript, actually a pretty big turn off. But the inside is wonderful and they have a small patio outside. If you're in blue ridge, stop in an see Christen at the bar.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. Try the flatbread pizza with red onions and feta cheese. They have all kinds of beer on tap, a lot of which are made on the premises. They offer a beer tasting tray too. Another good item is the hummus with warm pita bread and a good variety of wines if you are not a beer drinker. Try it, you won't be sorry!

Our trip to Blue Ridge Brewery last night has become one of the highlights of our vacation. The service was phenomenal. Our waitress Lisa was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and the area. We also found the owner, Pat to be extremely friendly and welcoming. He offered a tour of the restaurant and brew room, both of which were fascinating. On the way out we ran into one of the kitchen staff who inquired about our satisfaction. Amazing owner and staff! Now for the food: We started with the beer cheese dip and soft pretzel. Wow! We asked for another soft pretzel because we had so much of that creamy dip left. Our party ordered three entrees: the lamb sliders (technically an appetizer but it was served with a delicious side salad with house made vinaigrette. The sliders were cooked perfectly and served with a creamy aioli. My husband ordered the spinach and goat cheese pizza. It also came with that great side salad. Our friend ordered the Cajun bratwurst with black beans and rice and potatoes. All phenomenal and cooked perfectly. Even though this is a brewery (and they have an extensive collection) this place is worth checking out for the food and service alone. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with live music. A must to try in Blue Ridge.

We came here for lunch. It's a restaurant that makes beer - rather than a brewery that serves food. The food was good, as was the beer. Service was good. There's also an outside area that seemed popular on nice summer day. Looks like they may have bands playing in the back bar area as well. Also had some pretty good beer specials written on a chalk board.

We liked EVERYTHING about this place! 1. The beer - we sampled only their own craft brews and every one was excellent. The Belgian tripel was outstanding, the porter our next favorite. We did a flight (of which you have to choose four, but they kindly added the IPA on the side for us) and we enjoyed them all. After walking around Blue Ridge, we came back later for a glass of the tripel. 2. The hamburger - some locals highly recommended getting a burger here, and you should always listen to the locals! We decided to split the slaw burger, and they plated it for us in the kitchen. Yum, yum... 3. The staff - several served or spoke to us in the two times we visited in the same day. All were friendly, efficient, and accommodating. 4. The patio - we had our dog with us and on a mild spring day it was just lovely to sit outside with our pooch.

Good beer (well the other GA beers, theirs wasn't amazing), great beer and cheese dip with pretzels, nice vibe.

After a hike, we decided to stop in for a beer. The place is a lot nicer on the inside than it appears from the outside. The bar is not immediately visible from the entrance, but the hostess gladly directed us towards it. Our bartender was very helpful and friendly, answering both our question about the brews and about the local area. She also allowed us to taste anything we were interested in before ordering a full pint which was a really nice touch. She sold us on the beer cheese & pretzel. I am a sucker for pretzels. I liked that the pretzel was chopped up and ready for sharing amongst a group. The cheese that came along with it was flavorful and didn't taste like it had come from a jar (or worse, a bag!). We did have a little sticker shock when we got the bill- this app cost $8! I would have guessed around $5. Obviously $3 doesn't make that big of a difference but we were surprised. I didn't look at the full menu so I have no idea what their prices are for everything else. One thing we had a tough time with was deciphering which beers were brewed by the brewery and which ones they just had on tap or in a bottle. A beer list might have helped with this. I had the trippel brewed on-site and thought it was a really good- high ABV too! I would definitely come back next time I'm in the area, because I love beer and the unique atmosphere of this place. Some of the other places in town that are sports bars serve beer, but it didn't appear to be much different than a Fridays or something similar. This place is an interesting spot that you won't easily find somewhere else.

What a great place with great service, food and atmosphere! Friends of ours have a cabin in Blue Ridge and we came up to visit for the day, and to be honest, I was not expecting much up in the "sticks". Blue Ridge Brewery completely surprised us. The staff were so sweet, locals have their special mugs up on the wall done by a local artist. Each mug was so unique and special. The burgers and roasted potatoes are off the chain. I got the Hawaiian burger and my husband got the chipotle burger, and we were so pleased! The brews were excellent and flowed very nicely! Food took it's time to come out, but was worth the wait! There was live music outdoors on Saturday night, which was fun! Parking is on street and wherever you can find it! Overall this is a little gem for Blue Ridge and I will definitely stop her again when we are in town!

Went on a local's recommendation and SO glad we did! The walk in regular section of the restaurant was "booked for the night", but the hostess pointed us back to the bar. What a gem! This perfect nook in an old brick building was the perfect spot for great live music and the best burgers around! The roasted potatoes were like no other an my Hawaiian burger was tantalizing my taste buds! My husband also enjoyed his House burger and we loved our "appetizer" Greek salad! We had great service & great drinks too!

Amazing burgers and apple/ham panini! Restaurant has several areas for setting, front, bar or outside. Hubby loved the slaw and black bean sides.

This would have been our second time to this restaurant. The first time was good. Average beers and good food. Tried to go a second time at 4:30 in the afternoon. The place was deserted but we were told all the tables were reserved. We ate around the corner at another place when we went back by after an hour, it was still empty. Too bad for the servers.

Brew 6 beers in house that are on tap. Great selection of beers and cocktails on top of that. We had the hummus which was good too. If you're in Blue Ridge I would suggest checking this place out.

The Food was great! However service was incredibly lacking. Waited several time for drink refills and even had to ask twice for condiments. The beers rotate, so be sure to ask for the current selection.

We were in town for the BBQ and Blues festival. Since we wanted also sample local restaurants we came here based on solid reviews and were not disappointed. From most of what I'd read I figured we go the route of the known specialty which was the hamburger. Damn, they were really good. I had the Kobe Beef burger and ordered it medium and even though it came out medium-well it was still tasty! My wife had the Smokey Chipotle and hers was really good as well. The Smokey Chipotle tasted like it might have had a little pork or veal or something mixed in...it was definitely rich in flavor, almost like meatloaf...and again...really good. The menu looked great overall and now I know I'd be comfortable having anything off their menu. Plus, the decor was nice and the staff very friendly. I have no complaints. They get 4-sars and not 5 only because they overcooked my burger and the waitress while very kind, could only say that she'd let the chef know.

  • Cyndie N.

I'd rate the food a 4, but it was hard to enjoy because the air conditioning was broken in the part of the restaurant where the waitress sat us. We thought it would be manageable but by the time our food came it had to be 100 degrees in there. The back of the restaurant was nice and comfy as they apparently had working a/c, but it was not available to us as it was on a "first come first serve" basis. We scarfed down our food to get the heck out of there. Would have been nice if someone told us the a/c was broken when we called for reservations. Shows a lack of concern for customers' experience that I find unacceptable.

We went here for beer & lunch after shopping in Blue Ridge for the day. The food was great, awesome beer selection, and they give you samples; which I love cause I always like to try so thing new. Atmosphere is quaint and country eclectic. We will be back!!!!

The atmosphere of this brewery is absolutely intoxicating! The owner pays attention to detail in designing every part of this establishment. The interesting mugs that line the bar walls in the back, gives you something to really look at while sitting there. I've only ever hung out in the back and outside, not in the front part, but I've always been comfortable and felt relaxed. For a bar, it seems clean and well taken care of. The inside is very dark, but manages to give off a great vibe. The outside is standard with tables, shade, and a couple cornhole games set up. Parking is easy- I've never had a problem finding a spot even during peak times. The wait staff has always been friendly, although sometimes they are too busy to give outstanding service (which is totally understandable). They all seem to stay busy and they've always been nice when I grab there attention. Their beer is well brewed and they have a wide range for a selection. I've ordered mix drinks only once there and was disappointed, but the establishment itself made up for the not-so-great rum and cokes and vodka tonics. There food is by far the best part. There menu and quality of food goes way above and beyond "bar food". Everything I've eaten there tastes like a upscale restaurant rather than a bar. They have music there on the weekends, but I haven't caught it yet. If your a Blue Ridge Local or just visiting- it is something you must experience! A great treasure to have in Blue Ridge!

  • Acman P.

Great beer in the heart of the mountains. Food is decent, but the secret is in the back bars with great Belgian style beers on tap. Also local hard cores get to store their own custom made mugs - a true beer guy place for beer guys. If you like beer, and aren't a d-bag, you'll like the back bars.

I was really excited to try out Blue Ridge Brewery due to the great reviews but unfortunately wasn't even given the chance. We called for a reservation when they were closed, left a message, and never got a return call. Once we called to see what was up, they had already run out of reservations and said they never got the message. They were very unaccommodating and repeatedly insinuated we didn't call the right place - I can show them the call on my phone. My family and I will not be returning to Blue Ridge as everything has been a complete ripoff for such a small town that really doesn't have much to offer.

Had take out from here when we arrived in Blue Ridge Friday. Good ribs, nice and smokey. Wish they had been bigger though. Great corn on the cob, okay fries. I think it would have been better if we had eaten in, but they were so nice and helpful on the phone, I have to give them props for that! Next time, we eat at the restaurant!

Great atmosphere, 3 dining areas, charming bar/ pub area, live music, great food. Loved the pizza pita with pesto, goat cheese,. Also loved the Kobe beef burger with spicy diced sweet potatoes. Service was friendly, attentive. Great ever selection, both draft & bottles. Pleasant surprise. Unassuming storefront but charming , friendly, cozy, lively inside.

Had the chipotle burger there this past weekend and my wife had the house burger and all I have to say is that was the best burgers we've ever had and I love burgers. A small town in Mexico called Akumal has a placed called Lo-Ha held the title until coming here to the Blue Ridge Brewery. I loved the seasonal IPA that was just recently tapped also. We visited twice over the weekend and both times the food was excellent and service was great also. Get there before 3:30pm for a burger because they stop selling them and go to their dinner menu.

Love the blue cheese burger, but it is not consistent in quality. Sometimes great, sometimes overcooked and burned on the edges. The service is SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. You can't be in a hurry and eat in this place.

I have been here twice, the second time with a bachelor party - this is a review for that experience. It's not readily apparent when you walk in that there even is a bar area. The front restaurant area looks a little too classy for a brewery but is probably nice for a good dinner. You walk all the way to the back for the bar area. There is a small stage for probably a solo guitar player at most, but we had no performers. Their on site beer list is not readily available and really should be for a brewery. They have a chalkboard with all the other drafts they have but not the house beers. Their beers from the brewery seemed to change significantly from one visit to another and it kind of seems more like beer experimentation than a brewery that knows what they're doing. 3 people in our group wanted the flight of beer tasting of the house draft beers. They had 5 or 6 but before they could choose which 4 they wanted to try the bartender just went off and picked 4 for each of them which they weren't excited about. The pineapple hefeweizen tasted like "rotten food" and the house IPA like "water". The blonde, blood (brown ale), and stout were all complimented. We stayed for their flights and left.

Omg! Probably the best roast beef sandwich I've had in 10 years. Their St. Bernardus Belgium ale is one of the finest I've tasted. Very pretty bartenders and good atmosphere. Highly recommend visiting this place. oh yeah,.... Beer n babes

On-site brew was very good. The staff of mostly women was great. Had the pretzel with beer queso dip which was fantastic. Several local and out of town micro brews on tap. Love the atmosphere of the whole place. The menu looked like any other you'd find at a good brewpub. Plenty of hearty dishes. I'd definitely come back and definitely recommend this place to friends.

Ehh. A friend and I came up to Blue Ridge today to get some apples and come here because why not have beer to make a drive worthwhile? We got here around 1 or so, and it was packed, apparently. We were told it was a 90 minute wait unless we wanted to sit outside, so we sat out there. We both got the four beer flights, so our super cool server, aka the reason this review is 3 stars, Pinky, gave us all six beers they had total. I did not get to try the brown ale but I tried all five others. My favorite was the blonde, followed by the Hiawasse Golden Ale. The tripel was okay, it was strongly orange and coriander for a tripel. I did not like the pumpkin wheat at all, it had this weird, juicy taste to me. The regular pumpkin ale was okay, it had a nice hint of spice. For food, I got the bratwurst with potatoes and a side salad. It was a bit difficult to eat the salad because the fork made me feel tiny! It was just so big to hold. The salad was nothing special, not sure what the dressing was. And of course roasted potatoes are good. The bratwurst was decent, but the bread cut my lip. Seriously. All of a sudden my friend' s all, uhh I think your lip might be bleeding. Yep. And there it was on the bread too. Talk about no longer wanting to eat. I was mostly done at that point but that was weird. So yeah, might want to eat the bread separately from the brat on that one. I am not sure I'd come back here to eat when I return to Blue Ridge but it was nice to try. I might like to come back if they have more ales. You might get lucky and be able to park right outside in a street space but a couple blocks away there's a parking "lot" too. I swear, it was harder to park around here than it ever is to park in Atlanta.

Great night out in Blue Ridge. Burgers were great, server (Megan) was awesome. All four of us were happy with our meals. We've got some food allergies, and they did a great job handling it all. Even though we didn't have a reservation, they were able to seat us at the bar. Real table, just not in the main dining area, no biggie! Overall really enjoyed it and would certainly come back.

I was up in Blue Ridge this past wknd for our yearly visit to Merciers Apple Orchard. This a place you MUST try, the best pies EVERrrrrr! Ok so WAAYY off course here already... as this review is about Blue Ridge Brewery (but I wouldn't have driven that far just to go here, so I felt the need to explain the visit...LOL) Ok so, on our way up there, my friend Sheri and I discussed places to dine because during our last visit we tried a couple of places that were not so great. We'd been talking too (stalking:-) this great looking guy Josh at the apple orchard and he advised us to stop in this brewery so we did upon his recommendation. It wasn't as bad as the previous two places. The staff were very cordial and accomodating. Upon our arrival we noticed a rooster roaming the streets, apparently he is BOSS and has quite the reputation. Two of his rooster girls got killed by awful drivers, then along comes another male, well they had a fling (gay-birds:-) but then they both wanted dominance so one ran the other off (thats the story we were told, and it was funny too:-) Darn it, I failed to get the roosters name?!?!...LOL Ok so by this time we're seated and had a choice of where to sit. The brewery is a bit larger than it appears when you walk in so do a walk thru first. We opted for the front window seating so we could watch the rooster. He was mostly staying out of the torrential downpour that pummeled us all wknd long :-( Sheri ordered a drink, I had plenty at the apple orchard as we were offered samples on a practically empty tummy. She had a basic burger with a side salad and roasted red-skin potatoes. I had the roasted turkey sandwich with a side salad and side of guacamole. We chatted for awhile while dining, watching the rooster and acting silly. Our waitress was very friendly and engaging, and the music playing in the background was ole skool r&b, I was LOVING life! Although I gave them 3 stars, it was more like 3.5, not quite 4 and only because Blue Ridge brewery is a no-frills kinda place. The bathrooms were clean and they have a bar midway into the restaurant. I would go back because thus far, this was the best place to get a quick meal and friendly service

I have been coming to this great Blue Ridge Brew Pub since it opened and it still continues to make an impression on me...great atmosphere great owner, fabulous friendly staff...Pat and his staff are always fine tuning the menu and the new one is excellent...the Trout is to die for,no one else in the area can touch it... Dog friendly area out back is always full of locals and visitors alike...If you come to Blue Ridge to visit put this great place on your list of places to visit....Sunday Brunch is a must...the Bloody Mary are the best with the best baked maple sugar bacon swizzle sticks....

  • Kathryn L.

I've eaten at the BRB several times. The food is usually decent, but the service is why I'm writing this review. It's terrible. Our family had Sunday brunch there today. We were seated immedialely but then it took almost 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge our existence. It went down hill from there. Everyone is very nice, but they prefer ignoring their customers to explaining why it is taking nearly an hour to get a burger, eggs and a waffle. Bloody Mary's are great, this place would be A+ if they could get their wait staff and cooks together.

We walked in on Saturday night and found the last two seats at the bar! The space inside is really nice. It was our first time here and we had a great experience. Service was great. The bartender checked on us frequently and was super nice (I think her name was Candice). We had the shrimp Mac and cheese, which was really good with the balsamic glaze. My husband had the Kobe burger and I had the house burger with blue cheese and bacon. The burgers were seriously SO GOOD! I'd read the review prior to coming so I knew that a burger was the way to go. We actually liked the house burger a little more than the Kobe, I think because of the toppings. It was cooked perfectly too! Our sides were the creole slaw and the spicy sweet potatoes, both were very good. Good guest beer selection and they had 3 of their own on tap. We were in Blue Ridge for the day so I don't know when we'll be back but I'd definitely stop in again!

I've been here twice. The food's been fine both times. The service, though friendly enough, is astonishingly slow. I mean that literally. Both times, we were literally astonished by how long it took for each step of the dining experience to unfold. I think we cycled through the round of "What are they doing? Growing the lettuce" round of jokes twice by the time we got our burgers. The food is good but unremarkable. They could hire Thomas Keller, though, and there's no way I'd be able to convince anyone in my family to return.

I was a little disappointed they don't brew their own beer -- or they do but it's one type done in small batches and on the day I was there they didn't have any. BUT it was more than made up for in the selection they did have on draft -- a local brew out of Kennesaw (Burnt Hickory) and some others -- including if I remember an Ommegang selection. So, they have good beer. But not quite a brewery. I only had the chicken and wild rice soup. I thought it was a well-executed. Good flavor, plenty of chicken that was 'pulled'. Sometimes I am not a fan of cubed chicken pieces in soup (but that's my quirk). My friend had the burger and said it was a really good burger. We sat at the bar and the service was great - friendly and easy going. So, maybe it just depends on what you order....and how much you really expect it to be a brewery. They could just call themselves a pub....

We decided to try this place out based on a recommendation from a typically reliable source. Lemme start by saying that both of our entrees were pretty good -- after the addition of some salt. And since neither myself or my wife drink, I won't even knock a "Brewery" that doesn't brew anything. I will however take this place to task for the rest of our sub-par dining experience. We ordered the hummus for an app, which actually was two bowls -- one filled with "hummus" and the other with an olive tapenade -- and some grilled pita. What they referred to as hummus was clearly from a can, didn't taste like anything that resembled hummus, and was an awkward color. Yuck. The olive tapenade was so salty that it managed to mask any taste of olives. And to top it off, the grilled pita seemed like it should have had some crispiness to it, but it was so flaccid that it couldn't even be used to dip into the bowls. So, we weren't off to a good start. Next, we split a Greek salad. For the amount that we paid, we both had some expectations as to what was headed to the table. You want to know what that expectation didn't include? Bagged iceberg lettuce. Here's a hint: You can't throw a few olives and some feta into bagged iceberg lettuce and call it a Greek salad. The dressing was ok, but at this point, they've blown it. They brought out some rolls that tasted good, but it's pretty hard to screw up bread. I had the special -- which was a roasted half-chicken served with some sage gnocchi. The chicken was tender and moist. I'm not much of a gnocchi fan, so I'll reserve judgment on it. My wife ordered the New York strip with some horseradish mashed potatoes. She seemed to enjoy her steak a lot after a nice helping of salt over both the steak and potatoes. The service was average, at best. They managed to keep our drinks filled, but our server could best be described as "aloof" So they managed to properly cook chicken and steak. Not an impressive achievement in my book. We won't be back.

Have not been here in about two years. I had two bad experiences in 2011 and 2012. They have expanded and changed the menu. The food, service, and atmophere was great. I will be a repeat and wish them the best of luck.

Went here for dinner with my boyfriend. The service was great, our server Rebecca (name on the ticket) was super sweet and friendly. We started with the spicy crab dip, it was very good but a small portion for the price ($10). The menu didn't have too much of a selection though, we both got the rib eye and we were very happy with them, they were a little thin but prepared perfectly. We saw a table next to us get a few cakes for dessert that looked fantastic, but unfortunately they were all out of most of their desserts except for two by the time we were ready to order one.

They were able to seat us on a Friday within 15-20 minutes without a reservation, which was nice. I got the filet and it was pretty good, but I've had much better for the price. Nice wine selection. Unfortunately, my date was unsatisfied with his meal and barely touched it, and the waitress didn't try to do anything to fix the situation, or else I would have given 4 stars.

I hate to make a bad review. But the experience was not good. We were seated quickly (even though not having a reservation seemed to really put them off) but had to wait well over an hour for food to arrive. The food came out cold. That is just a starter. Cold steak and cold potatoes are one thing but rare steak for well done is another. When we told the waiter the food was cold, they warmed it up and warned it was hot....still barely warm. ugh! To top that off, the food was maybe a 2 out of 5 stars. We had steaks, trout, salads, and Mahi-Mahi. The steaks were not fresh at all. You will have better luck at Outback. The fish were both dry and overcooked. The salad was small and not flavorful in the least. This was a fairly pricey place. Looking online they had a lunch menu with burgers, but the waiter refused to serve us burgers at 6pm. The name of the place is a brewery, but they do not brew anything. Do no expect good brewery food. It is a little 'too fine' to be called a brewery. Bar staff is awesome though. Wait staff is so so but not attentive. You have to literally get there attention if you want anything. They did comp the first round of drinks and gave us a free dessert sampler platter.....but all in all it was still not worth it. Not even a good try in my opinion. We tried Harvest on Main the next day and it beat this place in prices, atmosphere, and taste.

Went in for an early supper and the hostess made a big deal about having a reservation, but "worked us in"...uh, there were only two tables in use and one was just finishing up. Their Soup OTD was "African Chicken and Peanut"--it was good! We ordered the Crab Cake Appetizer--two large cakes, a little too much breading and a very "dill aoili"--not bad! It was down-hill from there. My wife had the Filet--very tough, dry and way too much pepper. Hard to eat. I had the Scallops and Coconut Rice. Scallops were rubbery, no seasoning at all and the rice was mushy. We were disappointed :( We have had better, so maybe it was off night since they were expecting such a big crowd.

Same issue as others. The place is empty. The town is empty. We walked around town, passing restaurants everywhere because we thought we'd try this brewery. We're here at 5:15 for a place that doesn't serve dinner until 5:30 but the earliest they can seat us (2 people) is 8:30??? It seems like this is just a policy to try to encourage reservations and promote some illusion of exclusivity. Cheesy. If you're traveling, just avoid this place. Plenty other places to eat, without the attitude.

I decided I should finally write a review of this place! My husband and I have had dinner and lunch here at least 4 times. The food has always been good. The service as some have indicated can be a toss up. We have had excellent service and not so great service. Happy to have a new player in Blue Ridge!!! PS - the Guiness cake is amazing!!!

What a delightful find! Great atmosphere; the bar in the back & outdoor patio were a pleasant surprise. They have a extensive beer selection, both name brand and in house brewed. We tried the flyt

It's ok. Food is ok but not great. Wait staff is ok but not great. Beer is cold! That's good. Don't think about bringing your kids. One high chair and while they do have a children's menu, they serve their drinks in glass beer pilsners. Can anyone say, CRASH?!?! Still happy to see a new restaurant in Blue Ridge, GA and I do hope they do well. The decor inside the restaurant is pretty AWESOME and pleasing to the eye. The menu does seem to be a little pricey. They seem content that they have alcohol to serve but there are many restaurants in Blue Ridge, GA that do the same with a better location off of Main Street. Will try again (have tried twice now) and hope it improves!

I wrote a pretty scathing review about this place about six months ago. For some odd reason, probably based on a recommendation from a trusted friend, we decided to give BRB another shot last night. Still sucks. Service was spotty at best, which is odd because it wasn't that crowded. The food was mediocre across the board. Scallops were tough and tasted frozen. Mahi was overcooked, lifeless and bland. We have finally, once and for all, completely given up on this place. We won't ever set foot in it unless/until it changes hands, and intend to tell everyone we know to avoid it like the plague, at least for dinner. Having said all that, the beer selection is quite good and the atmosphere is cozy and nice, particularly the new outside section. Probably a good place to get a drink or two, but not suited for much else.

Visited Blue Ridge Brewery on vacation to try the beer. The food and the beer both were excellent. On of the best burgers I've ever had and the Beet Stout was top notch. Went back for both before heading home.

Best staff in town. They are friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. The food is consistent and always good. There is a great selection of beer, and new options brewed in-house. You can't go wrong at The Brewery!

In search of a few after hour brewskis and bite to eat, talk around town led us to a new brewery in downtown Blue Ridge -- The Blue Ridge Brewery. Though they had many tables full and it was late in the evening, they cheerfully accomodated my 6 friends and me. The bartender was very knowledgeable on their inventory, which ranged internationally from Belgian Ale, Abt 12 St. Bernardus to a Brazilian Pilsner, Palma Louca. Not only did we leave BRB more knowledgeable beer tasters, but also felt as welcome as family. I believe 'staff' will treat customers as well as they are treated by their managment; it is evident to say, the work environment at BRB is one of consideration, value and friendship for that is what their service projected. I suggest you chose to visit this classic brewery for a drink and an elite meal; you will find a truly rare heartwarming and satisfying experience. Overall: Excellent.

My family and I ate at the BRB on this years summer vacation and I cannot stop thinking about the delicious food and wonderful service. The Brewery's atmosphere is delightful. The establishment is family owned and operated with the owner/brew-master on site, If you get a chance and enjoy beer you should try his. We ate salmon and roasted pork loin and both were quite satisfying in their portions with the right amount of side dish. If you love desserts this is the place to go. The BRB is definitely a must do dining experience. You will not be disappointed.

Speed of service was a wee bit slow however worth the wait! The burgers were great! I recommend the spicy sweet potatoes with it.

Love the blue cheese burger, but it is not consistent in quality. Sometimes great, sometimes overcooked and burned on the edges. The service is SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. You can't be in a hurry and eat in this place.
